Job description
As System Engineer, you will:
  • Act as the principal technical authority of a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing expert guidance across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that top-level system designs align with detailed designs throughout the project and resolve conflicts between them.
  • Coordinate with the core project team on the schedule of Milestone Reviews and Internal/External delivery dates.
  • Ensure that technical documentation delivered by other teams aligns with requirements and top-level design.
  • Lead in-person and online Design Milestone Reviews and moderate technical discussions with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, stakeholders, and project teams to coordinate efforts and address technical challenges.
  • Manage extensive system project requirements.
  • Be accountable for technical trade-offs and studies that drive design decisions.
  • Control and estimate technical budgets (Mass, Power, Data, Link, Delta-V, Energy).
  • Coordinate with Launch Authority and prepare relevant documentation.
We expect you to have:
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking capabilities—understanding what is required and why behind every requirement.
  • A technical background (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field)—a strong background facilitates a quick start.
  • Fundamental understanding of physical principles and their application to real-world problems.
  • A strong sense of ownership—caring about the success of space missions.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with multiple engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, RF, control systems, etc.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Requirement Management systems (advantageous).
  • Knowledge and experience with MBSE (advantageous).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to visit us or our customers.
  • An understanding that flat Earth beliefs may hinder explaining flight dynamics.
SALARY:
  • Starting from 3500 to 5500 euros gross per month.
  • The final offer depends on competencies and experience.
