What you will be doing

• As a Systems Engineer specialising in investigations, this role is pivotal in managing high-priority technical issues ("Hot Issues") across the business.
• It involves leading root cause analysis for design and reliability defects, ensuring robust engineering solutions are identified and implemented.
• The engineer supports Quality teams in resolving supplier-related defects and works closely with customers to address non-conformances, always prioritising safety, long-term reliability, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness for Wabtec.
• Additionally, the role includes driving and supporting retrofit documentation and activities necessary to close customer claims efficiently and thoroughly.

Travel expectations: 3-5 trips per year
