Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a brand new, and truly major public sector contract.

The client is a major government customer, possessing an extensive national estate of offices and corporate facilities. The employer aims to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the client's estate is well managed.

You will be working within a team matrix structure, navigating key stakeholder relationships and roles needed to support the overall programme; this includes key customer contacts, contractors, and the wider Account team.

This is a fantastic role for a Sustainability professional to develop on one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.

Responsibilities include:

1. Lead the delivery of sustainability services in line with the contract specification.
2. Lead, develop, and drive the Sustainability Management Plan agreed with the customer, monitor progress, promote achievements, and ensure all required reporting is delivered.
3. Grow & engage with employee champions network.
4. Set annual environmental objectives and targets.
5. Establish governance framework & engage with senior stakeholders across the customer to ensure sustainability plans remain relevant and updated.
6. Embed a digital approach to CSR and sustainability reporting across the portfolio.
7. Validate carbon data for reporting and publication; monitor performance; seek external certification.
8. Work with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents (Sustainability Improvement plan, carbon reduction plan, biodiversity net gain).
9. Design reporting and assurance processes around sustainability, supporting other departments with their objectives.
10. Collaborate with the wider Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risk and priorities, collate site data, and undertake site visits as required.

Requirements:

• Clear sustainability experience within delivery and knowledge of ISO standards.
• Ideally experience working in a complex matrix team structure.
• Ability to travel.
