Position : Support Workers – Transition into SEN Teaching Assistant roles!
Location : Rochdale
Start Date : ASAP
Hours : (phone number removed) pm – Term Time Only
Pay rates : £90-110 per day

Currently, we have an exciting position to make a difference by supporting a secondary aged child with SEND and challenging behaviours across their timetable in a mainstream secondary school in Rochdale.

The school have created a welcoming, warm and inclusive environment for all staff and students. Teaching Assistants are made to feel like an important and valuable member of school community.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Mentor on a 1:1 basis to provide academic, social and emotional support
  • Liaise directly with the SENDCo & Assistant SENDCo to ensure behaviour plans are being successfully implemented
  • Navigate around challenges particularly with behaviour
  • Promote self-esteem and independence through consistent support
  • Build rapport with departments, pastoral officers and SLT to ensure the highest possible level of support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. The above vacancy is a temporary position. Occasionally, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. We offer flexibility with this, as we understand some candidates may not wish to commit to a permanent contract
