We are looking for a friendly, active, and reliable Support Worker/Personal Assistant for a 16‑year‑old young man in the Truro area. The role consists of three afternoons/evenings each week, Saturday morning and two full days during the week when he is not at college, and three days per week plus a Saturday morning during college holidays.
He is motivated, sociable, and enjoys getting out and about. Activities you’ll support include:
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and able to encourage independence while ensuring safety and fun.
A driver with access to their own car (large enough to accommodate a foldable manual wheelchair) and business insurance is essential. The family has a dog at home.
Rate of pay: £17 per hour on weekdays and £19 per hour on weekends. Taxable mileage of £0.45 per mile (up to 100 miles per shift) is payable. All meals are included while on shift.
