Overview

We are recruiting self-motivated and enthusiastic waking night support workers, providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities within their own homes. You will make a difference to the quality of a person's life by supporting them with their night time routines. This can include administering medication, intimate personal care including showering/bathing, dressing or undressing, assisting with toileting etc. You will have an understanding of the importance of promoting independence and enabling positive life choices.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities during night shifts in their own homes.
  • Support with night-time routines, including medication administration and intimate personal care as required (showering/bathing, dressing/undressing, toileting).
  • Promote independence and enable positive life choices for individuals.
  • Respect and consider the person at the centre of care and maintain a willingness to learn and develop skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in a care setting or informal care and support to family or friends is encouraged.
  • Understanding that the person is at the centre of the care and a commitment to learning and developing skills.
Hours and Benefits
  • The work includes weekends and bank holidays.
  • Additional enhancements are paid for night work and weekend work on top of the basic salary.
  • Additional hours may be available on top of contracted hours.
