Job description

We are looking for motivated, caring and compassionate people to join our team in Toynton All Saints near Spilsby. We have a well‑established hub working in place for our residential and community supported living services. After training, guidance and support you may be required to travel to a number of local services within the hub to meet the needs of the people we support.

You will be delivering care and support to enhance the independence skills of people with learning disabilities, whilst giving them choice and control over their own lives. As well as supporting the day‑to‑day aspects of daily life you will support people to pursue their interests.

Role responsibilities
  • Supporting with activities such as swimming, biking, baking and trips to the cinema
  • Organising leisure activities for the people you support
  • Assisting and monitoring personal health and care needs
  • Planning, purchasing and preparing meals
  • Providing a caring environment following specific procedures as detailed in care plans, whilst maintaining respect and dignity
  • Administration and recording of medication as per medication system
  • Informing the manager of any significant developments and/or difficulties within the care setting
  • Arranging and accompanying the people you support to doctors, dentists and some social appointments as necessary
  • Good housekeeping skills including cooking, cleaning and budget management
  • Remaining patient in challenging situations and having an understanding approach towards the needs of individuals with learning difficulties
  • Flexible approach to meeting individual needs
  • Willing to undertake personal care when required
  • Basic IT skills
  • Willing to complete in‑house training and basic induction
Values
  • Respect
  • Independence
  • Honesty
  • Teamwork

We welcome applications from people who work in other areas of the care sector (such as elderly care) or those with no experience of care. Previous experience is not as important as sharing our values and being able to demonstrate them, as well as your desire to make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

As an employer, we are proud to be accredited as a Disability Confident Employer.

Please note that successful candidate(s) will be asked to evidence their Right to Work in the UK post‑job offer.

You will be joining a 600+ team of staff and volunteers working county wide in the Lincoln, Spilsby, Skegness, Louth, Alford, Mablethorpe, Beverley and Grimsby areas.

We are a learning disabilities charity and a values‑based organisation.
