A community service organization is seeking a Support Worker for their Criminal Justice Service in Yeovil and Taunton. The role involves building relationships with external agencies, completing assessments, and providing support to vulnerable clients. Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.
As a Support Worker within our Criminal Justice Service, you’ll play a vital role in making a real difference to people’s lives across Yeovil and Taunton. This is a dynamic and rewarding position where no two days are the same!
You’ll be working closely with individuals in supported housing, helping them maintain their accommodation and take positive steps toward change. From managing referrals and assessments to delivering tailored interventions, you’ll be at the heart of empowering clients to build brighter futures.
Collaboration is key—you’ll develop strong relationships with partner agencies such as the National Probation Service, Police, and other support services to create effective multi‑agency plans. You’ll also support clients with practical tasks like budgeting, benefit claims, and maintaining safe, welcoming accommodation.
This role is challenging at times, but incredibly fulfilling. You’ll need resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to help clients overcome barriers and achieve their goals. In return, you’ll gain invaluable experience and the satisfaction of knowing your work truly matters.
