Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality 1:1 support to a female adult client. She lives with a long-term health condition requiring regular monitoring, has a moderate learning disability, and controlled epilepsy.

You will support her both at home and out in the community. She enjoys a variety of daily activities including horse-riding, swimming, bowling, and trips to the local theatre. We're looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, confidence and encouragement to help her get the most out of each day.

Responsibilities
  • Experience providing 1:1 support to individuals with learning disabilities, both within the home and out in the community
  • Ability to prepare modified-diet meals in line with individual dietary needs
  • Confident swimmer
  • Experience delivering personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
  • Willingness to support community‑based activities, promoting independence and social inclusion
  • Competency in medication administration in accordance with care plans and safety procedures
  • Confident around animals
  • Ability to carry out basic household chores to support daily living
Contract & Working Hours

Contract type: Zero hours contract. Contracted hours may be considered following successful completion of probation.

Shifts available: 8:30am to 2:30pm; 2:30pm to 8:30pm; 8:30pm to 8:30am (waking night). Work 2‑3 days per week plus 2 nights per week. You will need to work alternate weekends, with opportunities for additional shifts to cover sickness and annual leave.

Salary & Benefits

Hourly Rates: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour with enhanced rate for UK public holidays.
