Job description
Support Worker

Location : Dudley

Pay : Up to £35, (depending on experience and qualifications)

At Cambian Group, you’re not just working - you’re shaping futures. As a Support Worker based within West Midlands, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. A simple "How was your day?", a shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment – these small interactions build trust and shape lives. Some days will be challenging but every breakthrough, every smile and every step forward will remind you why this work truly matters.

What You’ll Do
  • Support young people with their daily routines; getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
  • Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
  • Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Where You’ll Do It

Fensgrove is a beautiful house that lives up to the expectation of being a home. It is decorated to a high standard with warm wallpaper, soft furnishings and accessories. Fensgrove has a large outdoor space with a big garden overlooking a local nature reserve, a playground, and a paddling pool for summer days. We support our children by providing a nurturing environment, talking to them, and showing them love and support, guiding them with our knowledge of PACE to help them cope with any challenges. Our aim is to inspire children, be role models, and show them their own self-worth. The children make us feel whole, and their progress and words of thanks remind us that we are making a difference.

We are one big happy family and this works so well with our homely environment. The team thrives when together and can see the difference they make. We regularly share good news and progress during team meetings, reflecting and giving encouragement where needed. We support each other as a team, nurturing children all of the time through care and attention.

Who You Are
  • Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager – focused on achieving outcomes for others.
  • No prior experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide the training.
  • Driver with full UK driving licence.
Why Join Us?
  • Exclusive discounts at major retailers (ASDA, Tesco, M&S, etc.)

  • 24 / 7 support : Helpline and hardship grants via the CareTech Foundation
  • A Welcoming Home : Work in a comfortable and well-designed space
  • Expert Training : Two weeks of fully funded induction
