Overview

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Support Worker to work in a brand new learning disabilities care home opening soon based in Beccles, Suffolk. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. This is a brand new service opening soon which specializes in supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors, including those who have been previously detained under the Mental Health Act or discharged from hospital on a Community Treatment Order.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities
  • Be an essential part of the team, promoting well-being and providing the highest quality of care to residents
  • Assist with daily tasks, including personal care assistance from supporting with personal hygiene to days out and companionship
  • Encourage independence, well-being and support vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities
  • Ensure accurate record keeping at all times
Skills & Experience (preferred)
  • Proven experience of working in a care setting
  • A good team player
  • Have a genuine desire to care for others
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Salary, Hours & Benefits

The successful Support Worker will receive a salary of £12.60 per hour (£23,587.20 per annum). Permanent vacancies are available for both day and night shifts.
