Job summary

A health and support organization in Northern Ireland is seeking individuals to provide care and support to people with learning disabilities. The role involves building trusting relationships, managing health and wellbeing, and providing emotional support. Ideal candidates will demonstrate compassion and have experience supporting individuals in daily tasks. Flexibility in shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work various shifts including days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with household tasks and emotional support.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
  • Display compassion and sensitivity to the people who use our services’ and next of kin needs.
  • Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
  • Support the people who use our services to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
  • Identifies problems and issues and work with the people who use our services to provide the most appropriate solutions to promote wellbeing for all.
Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting an individual with household tasks and/or providing emotional support.
