£28,225 - £28,444 pro rata / £15.47 - £15.59 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Overview

Suitable candidates are sought for the vacancy of Support for Learning Assistant to work in Evie Primary School. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

This post involves working with pupils and colleagues to support learning and inclusion, with a focus on encouraging and enabling all children to achieve their potential.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in working with young people.
  • Commitment to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.
  • Good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
  • Working in a regulated role with children requires a Level 2 PVG Disclosure Check.
