Falkirk Council are looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant (Grade E) for the Thistle Wing and Annexe which is a provision for children with severe and complex additional support needs within Kinnaird Primary School.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for teachers and pupils to enhance pupil well-being, engagement and achievement. Undertake a range of whole school support activities and pupil support with regard to pupils' complex healthcare needs, language and communication needs, as well as general supervision and safety for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or physical impairment.
  • Good communication skills are essential and the role will require supporting children with severe and complex additional support needs. You should enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Experience in this sector is not always required, but we look forward to welcoming people who are nurturing, loving and patient. Extensive training will be provided throughout your time here.
Hours and Fixed Term

You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Mon-Fri 9am-3pm.

Contract and Requirements

This post is temporary until April 2026 to cover maternity leave.
