A community support charity in Chatham seeks someone to help ex-offenders improve their lives by managing a caseload and providing practical support. The role involves one-on-one sessions focusing on housing, benefits, and life skills within a welcoming environment. Experience in criminal justice or a related support role is desired, as well as openness to recent criminology graduates. This position offers a meaningful impact in a supportive community hub.

You’ll manage a caseload, running one-to-one sessions to help clients with housing, benefits, GP registration, training, basic job support, and life skills like budgeting and cooking. You'll also get stuck into the activities above.
This is rehabilitation done right—practical, person-centred, and impactful.
You must have experience in criminal justice (e.g. prison, probation, resettlement), or from a support role supporting clients with similar challenges (such as housing, employment, education etc).
You might have previously worked as a Probation Officer, Prison Officer, Resettlement Worker, Hostel Worker, Drug and Alcohol Support Worker, Employment Advisor or similar.
This charity are happy to meet recent criminology graduates looking to launch their career (ideally with some experience paid or voluntary supporting vulnerable clients).
