About the Role

Simply Education is seeking compassionate and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist SEN schools in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible role that fits around other commitments, whether you are seeking full-time supply, part-time hours, or ad-hoc work.

You will be supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) and other complex needs. Some roles will involve personal care, so confidence and sensitivity in this area are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with additional needs in the classroom, one-to-one, and in small groups
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
  • Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and wellbeing
