Locations: Melton Mowbray (LE13) & Oakham

Contract: Flexible / Part-Time / On-Call

We're recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to support a range of Primary and SEN schools across Melton Mowbray and Oakham. Whether you want a few days a week or more regular work, supply gives you the flexibility to fit around your lifestyle while still making a meaningful impact.

About the Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
  • Work both 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning
  • Assist teachers in creating calm, structured, and inclusive environments
  • Use positive behaviour strategies and provide emotional regulation support
  • Adapt confidently to different classes, year groups, and specialist settings
  • Provide personal care support where required (training can be given)
We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, care, sports coaching, etc.)
  • Confidence to adapt quickly to new environments
  • An interest in supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH needs (experience preferred but not essential)
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset
  • Reliability and strong communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
