SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Maidstone

Full-time | Term Time Only

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are currently working in partnership with a warm and inclusive school who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing social and communication skills.
  • Create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (either in a school, care, or youth work setting).
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine desire to support the learning and development of children with additional needs.

Qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate, Team Teach, or relevant SEN training are desirable but not essential.
