Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Salary: £35k

Are you a proactive and detail-driven supply chain professional ready to take ownership of end-to-end purchasing and logistics operations? Were looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our client in Sutton-in-Ashfield and play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services across our project-driven business.

This is a hands-on role with strategic oversight, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational detail with big-picture thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full purchasing cycle from order to delivery.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Lead and support a Purchase Order Clerk to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and prepare all necessary documentation.
  • Operate MRP systems to align supply with production and customer demand.
  • Source and manage third-party contractors for logistics and specialist services.
Person Specification
  • 5+ years' experience in procurement and logistics, ideally in a project-led environment.
  • Strong MRP/ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Experience managing junior staff.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of international logistics and customs compliance
