Job Title: Supply Chain Project Manager

Location: Portsmouth Naval Base

Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing
  • Managing key stakeholders engaged with supply chain activities within a T45 Class Ship Repair Programme ensuring supply chain and Project targets are achieved
  • You will be the prime point of contact for project related contract and procurement issues liaising with the Supply Chain for material and subcontracted services resolution
  • Managing the supply chain throughout the project life‑cycle, ensuring outputs are met e.g. Management of Bills of Materials, Supplier Risk and project reporting required by the Project
  • Developing and managing a structured approach to Supply Chain status, performance, and critical issues management within a shared project and functional management structure
  • Ensuring known supply chain risks are understood within the project, mitigation plans are agreed and protect the commercial interests of the company
Your skills and experiences
  • Recent experience as a Supply Chain Project Manager or equivalent role on major complex programmes within a similar industry
  • Ability to provide guidance, capability, and processes to deliver project, functional or business unit targets
  • Logical, interpretative approach to pragmatic and effective problem resolution, being solutions focussed
  • Ability to generate suitable communications taking in consideration the range of alternative stakeholder levels that exist on T45 programme

The Supply Chain Project Management team

You will be a member of the Supply Chain Project Management (SCPM) function for the Ship Repair Upkeep organisation. You will be one of 5 SCPM's delivering guidance to ensure that the project requirements are recognised, planned for, and met in terms of quality, cost, and schedule adherence. Helping to develop and administer the Supply Plan and strategies for this strategically significant and extremely complex nature of the Ship Repair business.
