A long-standing manufacturing business is looking for a Deputy Supply Chain Manager who wants more than a routine planning job. This role sits directly underneath the current Supply Chain Manager, with a clear path to step into the full position when they retire.

You will support and improve the full supply chain process from planning and materials through to data accuracy, supplier management and operational flow. This is a hands‑on role where you will solve problems early, keep information moving across the site and make sure production has what it needs, when it needs it.

Key responsibilities
  • Support planning, materials control and MRP accuracy
  • Work closely with production, engineering, commercial and quality teams
  • Identify risks, shortages and capacity constraints
  • Improve planning processes and data accuracy
  • Manage supplier communication and material flow
