Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a SQD Engineer in Woking. You will be part of the Supply Quality Assurance team and must have experience in body panel manufacture, quality management, and GD&T. The role focuses on achieving class leading quality levels in both fit and finish and aesthetics of components. Candidates should be proficient in composite parts and familiar with various manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with hot and cold forming processes, casting, and assembly methods for aluminium body panels.
• Experience with composite parts and panel manufacture, including SMC, RTM, and pre-preg processes.
• Ability to interpret datum strategies on large complex assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Join the Supply Quality Assurance team in Woking.
• Report directly to SQA Manager and Head of.
• Ensure class leading quality levels from a fit and finish and aesthetic perspective.

We are recruiting for a SQD Engineer to join our fantastic Supply Quality Assurance team in Woking. As the SQD Engineer you will be part of the BIW & Composites team within the Mclaren SQD function reporting directly to SQA Manager and Head of, so experience in body panel manufacture and quality management is a must. This includes but is not limited to, hot and cold forming processes, casting, and assembly methods typical with aluminium body panels. And/or have experience in composite parts and panel manufacture, including SMC, RTM and pre-preg processes in carbon fibre and other lightweight composite materials. In addition to this, and due to the sensitivity of achieving class leading quality levels, both from a F&F and aesthetic perspective, you must be proficient in GD&T and measurement, including the ability to interpret datum strategies on large complex assemblies.
