Inspire People is partnering with HM Land Registry (HMLR) during an exciting period as HMLR continue on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world's leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. We have exciting opportunities available now to join us on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join an established team of Supplier and Contract Managers within HM Land Registry's (HMLR) Transformation & Technology (T&T) Directorate, supporting BAU Operations and an exciting Transformation Programme.

The Postholder Will
  • Proactively and effectively manage a grouping of suppliers and contracts within the T&T ICT contract portfolio. This includes managing supplier performance against contract KPIs and SLAs and ensuring HMLR deliver on their obligations.
  • Build and maintain the supplier relationship through the whole lifecycle; on-boarding through to exit.
  • Be responsible for ensuring HMLR receives value on investment through regular and comprehensive performance reviews.
  • To act as an escalation point for service and supplier related matters where supplier performance, delivery and support are considered an issue.
  • Managing contracts by resolving disputes, processing change requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory/audit/policy requirements.
  • Implementation of best practice regarding risk management and risk mitigation throughout the contract life cycle. Seek to develop a strategic relationship (where appropriate) and understand how the supplier service roadmap benefits HMLR's aspirations.
  • Conduct analysis and review the marketplace to determine potential alternative products/suppliers in line with compliant government routes.
  • Engage with wider functions, to develop value-led joint strategic account plans, product and service roadmaps that drive maximum value from supplier relationships.

  • Ability to evaluate and propose practical alternatives where issues arise in supplier management.
  • Has effective & influential communication skills (verbal & written) in particular the ability to both understand and translate 'technical jargon'.
  • Embraces change and challenge (even if uncomfortable) and is able to adapt ways of working to deliver value early.
  • Able to use Microsoft products such as Excel for budget monitors
  • Has a sound understanding of financial budgeting and accounting.
