Supervisor

A unique pub situated on the Exeter canal 15 mins walk from the quayside and now 5 minutes from Marsh Barton train station. The pub has one of the largest beer gardens in the south with over 1000 outdoor spaces. We host various events and functions that cater from 100 to our busiest one of the year hijacking 4000 people. With outdoor bars and BBQs no week is ever the same at the double the winter was a lovely traditional pub with log fires and lots of dogs.

We are looking for someone to join our senior team in aiding in the management of our unique and well-loved canal-side pub. Boasting one of the biggest beer gardens in Devon we are a hot-spot for students and families alike. Known for our fast-paces and jam-packed summers and in winter for our cosy country-pub aesthetic with roaring fires and hearty pub dishes.

We stock a variety of premium drinks on draught and real ales as well as offering local ciders and ales. Our menu is carefully curated by our chefs to reflect the season showcasing the best of British ingredients to create well-loved pub classics of a quality standard.

We host large annual events with up to 3500 people including music food and drink festivals as well as our famous Bonfire and fireworks night.

What we look for in a Supervisor :

We are looking for someone with prior hospitality experience and experience in a management or supervisor role. You will aid the management team in the day-to-day running of the pub by running shifts and leading the team. We are looking for someone who is able to open and close the business by performing the necessary heath and safety checks and ensuring that the pub maintains a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.

As supervisor you will be able to perform stock checks and maintain stock levels and cash up at the end of shift ensuring that the safe is balanced and reconciling any deficits or surplus.

As the successful Supervisor you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service every time and be able to build a rapport with our customers and our team to continue the success of our pub. You will strive to lead by example and inspire the team on how to maintain pearl standards within our pub and have an awareness of the customer journey cycle ensuring that every guest receives high quality hospitality from our team.

You will also be someone who is committed to their career in hospitality and we can offer ongoing development to support you as you grow and succeed with us.
