This is an opportunity to join the dynamic MFM team at Liverpool Womens Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as we have moved into a new, purpose-built fetal medicine unit. Liverpool Womens Hospital is one of the largest purpose-built maternity units in Europe.

About the team and organisation

UHLG provides general and emergency hospital care, alongside highly specialised regional services for more than two million people in the North West.

Role details

The clinical duties will be negotiable depending on the candidates areas of expertise and skills. Job plans will be annualised to provide clear expectations of activity and flexibility. Duties are subject to change as new colleagues join the team.

Fetal Medicine

The successful candidate is expected to have approximately 2 fetal medicine sessions per week (about 168 sessions/year), depending on service needs. This is not an exact number and will require discussion. There will be opportunities to develop based on interests and experience, for example in:

  • multiple pregnancy care
  • echocardiography
  • fetoscopy/laser service
Maternal Medicine ANC

The successful candidate will have 1 maternal medicine clinic per week (about 42/year). This is flexible and will reflect ongoing needs of the directorate and the candidates interests.

Delivery Suite
