A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer in Bristol to support a significant marine and tunnelling project at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will coordinate marine activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety practices in offshore environments. Competitive pay rates of £500-£550 per shift are offered for this long-term project.

Job description

Abatec is pleased to be working with one of the UK's most reputable civil engineering companies to help recruit a Sub Agent, or Senior Engineer, to work on a marine and tunnelling project related to Hinkley Point C. Based from the office at Avonmouth Docks, the successful candidate would support the Marine Project Manager and offer engineering back up to the offshore teams. The project is extremely interesting and easily classed as major civil engineering. Please apply now or call me to discuss in more detail.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily programme updates, coordinate meetings and carry out daily site briefings.
  • Coordinate marine activities to meet technical requirements.
  • Liaise with various departments including H&S, environmental, lifting and quality to provide a safe work system.
  • Support offshore HSE practices through daily briefings, safety tours, and permit management.
  • Act as a key offshore interface with a marine team deployed on the vessel, support teams, subcontractors and clients.
What the Client is Looking For / Qualifications
  • Has experience in offshore or marine civil engineering or related projects (ideally).
  • Has previous experience managing subcontractors (ideally).
  • Has strong understanding of safe systems of work in offshore environments.
  • Has ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results independently.
Rates & Benefits
  • Standard Monday - Friday shift pattern with overtime available.
  • £500-£550 per shift (PAYE Umbrella).
  • Long term, interesting project in the local region.
