Overview

Student Liaison Officer — Full time (Mat Cover). This is a brilliant opportunity to join our expanding community of talented, committed and inspirational colleagues. Working in a dynamic, values led organisation, this role is for those who are passionate about development and innovation within a lively college community.

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, enthusiastic and driven member of staff to join our Head of Studies Team in the essential forward facing role of Student Liaison Officer. The post holder will offer pastoral support, advice and guidance to students, monitor attendance and wellbeing and liaise with parents and Personal Tutors to ensure students achieve the best outcome from their programme of study. The post holder will be one of the go-to people for our students and support our students in all areas of their learner journey. The role can be at any of our sites at Wigan and Leigh College.

You will thrive on working in a fast paced and energetic environment and will strive to ensure the very best outcomes for our students. You will embrace a culture of kindness, respect and ambition whilst helping to promote drop in sessions and enrichment opportunities which will help students develop a wide range of skills as they progress throughout their time at college. You will be an integral part of a team who work across all departments of the College and responsible for a range of exciting enrichment and cross-college events throughout the academic year.
