Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a 14-16 Key Worker to join our Lifeskills faculty to monitor and lead online tutorials with learners enrolled to our Activate Your Skills - Virtual 14-16 programme. This is a part-time role, working 18 hours per week during term time (0.41 FTE), based at our Guildford campus. The position is fixed-term until June 2026, with working days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and lead online tutorials for learners in the Activate Your Skills - Virtual 14-16 programme.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure learners have an excellent experience throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with local schools and organisations to deliver a high-quality 14-16 provision and widen access to information and guidance that supports students in choosing suitable courses and progressing to post-16 learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience of working in an educational environment to support young people.
  • Good understanding of the potential barriers faced by young people and approaches to overcoming them.
  • Good knowledge of the 14+ education environment is desirable.
  • Flexible approach with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to engage and develop students and model the attributes developed within our learners.
  • Experience of liaising with schools and other key stakeholders would be desirable.
