Structural Steel Platers - Hartlepool

Rates: £24 basic, £35 OT 1, £46 OT 2

Basic hours: 44 per week, day shift Monday to Friday, minimum 6 hours overtime per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled structural steel Plater to join our clients busy fabrication shop.

Responsibilities
  • Operate welding equipment to fabricate metal components as per specifications.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.
  • Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions during fabrication.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in plating, welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with structural steel work is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using overhead cranes.
  • Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
