Overview

A client within the Public Sector based in Bristol is recruiting for a Strategy Property Partner to join their Operational Property team. The position is full time, temporary and on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a local authority in a property asset management environment.

Role

Key purpose of the role is to act as the strategic link between council services and the property department, advising on all aspects of property asset management, ensuring property performance is maximised through rationalisation, cost reduction, and compliance with legislation, while supporting effective service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing assets for suitability and sufficiency to meet service needs.
  • Developing and maintaining service asset management plans, translating strategic objectives into property solutions.
  • Leading on property reviews and implementing property-related transactions to optimise service delivery and minimise costs.
  • Providing professional advice on property use, occupation, and specific projects.
  • Building strong working relationships with council services, partners, and external bodies to deliver coordinated asset management planning.
  • Representing the property service and council at internal and external meetings, including legal settings if required.
Candidate / Qualifications

To be considered for this role you will require a property-related qualification and proven experience in providing proactive property management within a large organisation.

  • Experience in supervising staff and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work within a political environment and engage effectively with councillors and stakeholders.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering up to £380 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approximately £300 per day PAYE).
