Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse and export procedures, coordinating deliveries.
  • Assign daily tasks to the warehouse team for efficient stock handling.
  • Manage incoming goods and ensure timely supply to the shop floor.
  • Update stock levels using an MRP system.
  • Prepare bills, invoices, and dispatch documentation.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on level of experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm & Friday 7.30am - 1pm

A specialist engineering company is seeking a Stores Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations and supporting production efficiency.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take direct responsibility for supervising warehouse operations and leading a team of 3. You will ensure that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately, while supporting production with timely supply of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee warehouse and export procedures, from coordinating deliveries to managing export documentation.
  • Assign daily tasks to the warehouse team to ensure efficient handling of stock and customer orders.
  • Manage goods in, ensuring stock is stored correctly and supplied to the shop floor on time.
  • Update and maintain stock levels using an MRP system.
  • Prepare bills, invoices, and dispatch documentation.
  • Supervise goods outwards, ensuring items are packed correctly for shipment.
  • Ensure export documentation is completed accurately.
  • Conduct stock checks and support regular stock takes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong supervisory skills and a solid background in warehouse operations.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in stores / warehousing with knowledge of goods in / out processes.
  • Experience supervising or managing a team.
  • Knowledge of supply parts and materials to a manufacturing or production department.
  • Knowledge of shipping or export paperwork, processes, and documentation.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with MRP systems.
Desirable
  • Forklift licence (bendi, aisle master, flexi).
