Location : Hersham, Walton-on-Thames

Salary : £28,810 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract type : Permanent, full-time role

Do you have experience with construction materials, and are you seeking a new opportunity? PiLON is hiring a support for our Materials Controller to join our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment project in the Social Housing sector, based in the Hersham area.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual who excels in a fast-paced construction environment, possesses a strong attention to detail, and is comfortable with physically demanding tasks. You will work closely with purchasing teams, site teams, and contract managers to ensure materials are delivered and handled effectively, and any site-related issues are promptly reported and resolved.

Main Objectives of the role
  • Receiving and unpacking material deliveries, inspecting for accuracy and damage
  • Managing material handling, including loading, unloading, and transporting items manually or with pallet trucks
  • Sending out materials to teams on-site
  • Assisting the materials controller in maintaining accurate records of materials issued and received
  • Safely disposing of waste materials in compliance with HSE regulations
  • Collaborating with site teams to deliver services aligned with contract and company standards
  • Reporting site issues to the purchasing team, site teams, or contracts managers for resolution

  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks

  • Organised with administration skills
  • Access to a vehicle (preferred) and flexibility to travel to multiple sites
