Job summary

A leading fabrication specialist in Sandbach is looking for an experienced Stores Operative to join their team. The role requires a valid FLT Reach and Counterbalance certificate and previous experience in a warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include picking and sorting steel parts, managing stock, and ensuring health and safety protocols. This full-time position offers an assignment rate of £13.84ph for AM shifts and £15.38ph for PM shifts, working Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Reach and Counterbalance certificate is mandatory.
• Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably in a fabrication environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Picking and sorting steel parts in a busy fabrication environment.
• Organising and managing stock within the stores area.
• Operating a Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) for material handling.
• Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed within the warehouse.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting in stock audits.
