Stores Operative

Location: Cwmbran

Vibe Recruit's client is seeking a Stores Operative to join its UK operations team. This role is a full time, permanent role with an immediate start. Based at the company's Cwmbran facility and reports to the UK Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle and check all goods inwards, goods outwards, and inventory control within the main stores
  • Supervise stock components from work‑in‑progress to finished goods, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Prepare and monitor outgoing packages
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment
  • Co‑ordinate all inbound and outbound freight activities with freight forwarding services
  • Support workshop scheduling requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and use of appropriate PPE
  • Maintain and organise the stores area, including tools, equipment, and company assets
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Mechanically minded with good practical problem‑solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and innovative in approach
  • Comfortable using inventory management systems and other IT tools
  • Secondary education or equivalent
  • Practical mechanical training or hands‑on experience
  • Forklift/Counterbalance experience
  • Previous experience in inventory, warehousing, or stock control is an advantage
