Store Person
£14 per hour - Sandy, Bedfordshire
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials in line with quality and documentation requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of components to identify defects, damage, or irregularities.
- Carry out de-burring tasks on parts to meet defined quality standards.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records using internal systems and software.
- Store products safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work environment.
- Utilise the Sage ERP system to manage and process purchase orders and book goods in.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using Sage or similar ERP systems to maintain inventory and support purchasing functions (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when inspecting or handling components.
- Experience with visual inspection processes as part of quality control.
- Ability to perform de-burring tasks using appropriate hand or power tools.
- Basic computer literacy; familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: Early finish available
