Job summary

A leading logistics provider in the United Kingdom is looking for a Store Person to handle incoming goods, maintain inventory records, perform quality checks, and prepare items for dispatch. Candidates should have experience with ERP systems like Sage, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills. A forklift license is preferred. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with early finish on Friday.

Store Person

£14 per hour - Sandy, Bedfordshire

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials in line with quality and documentation requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections of components to identify defects, damage, or irregularities.
  • Carry out de-burring tasks on parts to meet defined quality standards.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records using internal systems and software.
  • Store products safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work environment.
  • Utilise the Sage ERP system to manage and process purchase orders and book goods in.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using Sage or similar ERP systems to maintain inventory and support purchasing functions (preferred).
  • Proven experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when inspecting or handling components.
  • Experience with visual inspection processes as part of quality control.
  • Ability to perform de-burring tasks using appropriate hand or power tools.
  • Basic computer literacy; familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Friday: Early finish available
