Job description

We are recruiting a Steward to join our team working at Redford Barracks, Colinton Road, Edinburgh, EH13 0PP.

You will be responsible for contributing to the provision of quality laundry, accommodation, mess-room, and janitorial services, always adhering to health and safety standards.

Eligibility requirements: Due to sector requirements, you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years, have the legal right to work in the UK, and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

• This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 days over 7, including weekends. Shifts range between 06:30 and 22:30.

A day in the life of a Steward:

• Serving food and beverages to customers.
• Occasional cash handling and till operation.
• Occasional bar work.
• General housekeeping, including kitchen cleaning and dishwashing.
• Stocking and stock rotation using the FIFO method.
• Reporting to the line manager regarding feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards.
• Duties may change to meet the company's needs.

Ideal candidate:

• Have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and possess the legal right to work.
• Can pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
• Experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
