Job description
Overview

Ipswich Hospital Sterilisation and Decontamination department is looking for additional decontamination technicians to join our team. This role includes washing surgical instruments, operating decontamination equipment, pushing and pulling trolleys, stock control, lifting heavy theatre sets and processing reusable medical devices. We reprocess nearly 2 million surgical instruments and endoscopes a year, providing services to theatres, clinics and external healthcare providers across Suffolk and beyond.

Shift Pattern

0600am – 1400pm and 1400pm – 2200pm with a requirement to work at least one weekend in four.

  • Lift heavy theatre sets and process reusable medical devices.
  • Support the endoscopy reprocessing unit and the sterilisation unit.
