Job Description
Role
- You will be working in a busy office, supporting investigating officers with statement taking and tasks such as seizing and collecting CCTV footage.
- Uploading digital and documentary evidence to police IT and partner agency platforms to facilitate review by investigators.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work methodically and accurately, using your own initiative in a busy and pressurised environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills to respond professionally and courteously to correspondence and enquiries.
- Experience working in a team.
- Background in quality assurance of documents and knowledge of data protection and GDPR guidelines for managing confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; willingness to learn additional IT systems.
- Ability to produce clear, legible, and accurate statements.
- Capability to complete evidential statements related to evidence production.
- Willingness to attend court and account for actions taken to generate exhibits if required.
- Personal resilience to handle difficult or distressing witnesses.
