At Stallingborough Church of England Primary School, we believe that the care and nurture of our school environment is an extension of the care we give to our children. Every corner of our building, every pathway, and every green space contributes to the sense of safety, warmth, and belonging that helps our pupils thrive.

We are looking for a dedicated and caring Caretaker to become a valued member of our school family. This is a part time, permanent position (18 hours per week), starting as soon as possible. Core hours are 3:00pm-6:00pm, with an additional 3 hours across the week. We are happy to discuss flexibility with the successful candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Caretaker, you will play a vital role in the daily life of the school by:

  • Caring for the School Building: Keeping our learning spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for all.
  • Championing Health & Safety: Ensuring the premises are secure and responding swiftly to any issues.
  • Looking After Our Grounds: Maintaining our outdoor areas so they remain inviting places for play, exploration, and learning.
  • Daily Cleaning: Carrying out daily thorough cleaning to ensure the school is always ready for a new day of learning.
About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is practical, reliable, and proactive, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Has good DIY skills and can carry out basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing, and security systems.
