Cameron Mackintosh Ltd are looking for a talented Stage Manager for the London Production of Les Misérables.

We are recruiting candidates with proven experience befitting of a large-scale musical of the highest calibre.

The deadline for this role is 4th January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate the efficient management of the Stage Management department
  • Assist in all production-related preparation for the Stage Management department
  • Encourage and nurture the working practice and development of all members of the department and maintain the department’s integrity at all times
  • Co-ordinate and manage the smooth running of all rehearsals
  • Maintain all paperwork necessary for the Production
  • Ensure all rehearsal and show bibles are kept up to date
  • Ensure that relevant rehearsal notes and production meeting notes are actioned and prepare rehearsal schedules as required
  • Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary
  • Generate show reports and report any issues to the Production Manager
  • Liaise with the Company Manager and Production Manager for hiring of all staff within the department
  • Attend meetings or training courses as required
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all set elements and props
  • Run cast changes as required in conjunction with the Technical Production department
  • Create and supervise Stage Management department staffing rotas and provide accurate timesheets on a weekly basis
  • Assist with ensuring the company’s welfare and checking that Health and Safety regulations are met in both rehearsals and the theatre
  • In conjunction with the Company Manager/Production Manager, ensure that SOLT/Equity contracts are adhered to and that, wherever possible, no company breaks are missed including within the stage management team
  • Work with the Production Manager and Company Manager to ensure the continuing integrity of the company and smooth running of performances throughout the Production’s life
  • Promote a positive and collaborative relationship with all theatre staff
  • Act as cover for the Company Manager during holidays and unforeseen absences
  • Have a good knowledge of the Producer’s health and safety policies and ensure that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department
  • Uphold and promote at all times the Producer’s Child Protection Policy and related procedures and guidelines.
  • Comply with the Producer’s policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer’s policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Safeguarding, Social Media, Data Protection.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the Producer
