Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen offering the chance to become part of our dynamic surgical Admissions and day surgery team. This is a demanding role and will require good effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively within our team., Primarily based on the Blackburn site you will be required to work flexibly to cover the needs of the service.

This service covers a variety of adult specialties to include trauma.

We currently open from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.00 until 20.30. Weekend work is subject to capacity and demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the adult patient from admission to discharge.
• Arrange the reception, admission, transfer and nurse‑led discharge of patients, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care within specialism.
