A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic Paediatric Nurse to join their team. The role involves delivering high quality care to children and their families within a busy environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to enhance their skills with a comprehensive induction package. They should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and maintain high professional standards.
The unit is a fast paced, changing environment with referrals from primary care, emergency department, urgent care, midwives and health visitors, and families who have open access to self-refer. Each day is different, making the area an ideal opportunity to learn and develop new skills. We have created a cohort of nursing staff to deliver high quality care to children and their families who come through the Paediatric Assessment Unit. No previous experience of working in an assessment unit is required as full training will be given, including training on the Manchester Triage system.
We are a small but expanding team and are proud of the service we deliver. We work collectively as a team to continuously evaluate and improve our service where possible. We value everybody's input and see all staff as having a vital role in delivering high class, safe and effective care.
We have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area and provide specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria. Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely makes a difference to support our patients and staff, ensuring we keep thriving and delivering outstanding healthcare across our local towns.
You'll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet great people and do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills and enhance your career path. You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold and help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care and enhancing their experience, which means your role is pivotal and something to be proud of.
Role expectations include delivering care in line with agreed local and national standards and evidence-based guidelines, promoting patient education and health promotion, and contributing to a safe, high-quality service.
We are looking for staff who can prioritise, show resilience, communicate effectively, work as part of a team and independently, manage time well, and maintain high professional standards with a sense of fun.
