Overview

Narvar is growing! We are hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to own the challenge of setting the course for company-wide initiatives, launching customer-facing products, and delivering these initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

This role calls for a strong, proactive Program Manager capable of autonomously driving cross-team programs in the allocated portfolio. Qualified candidates have experience in annual/quarterly roadmap planning, estimations, prioritization, resource allocation frameworks, coordinating large scale cross-functional initiatives, schedules, and delivering the outcomes.

Day-to-day
  • Drive planning & execution of complex cross-team programs (feature/product development, cloud migration, infrastructure upgrades, etc.)
  • Develop and drive programs to improve engineering productivity, effective onboarding, continuous improvements, etc.
  • Help develop and deploy engineering playbooks for the distributed teams working in hybrid mode (how we make things, how we operate, and how we function as a team).
What we\'re looking for
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Technology, Engineering. MBA/Management degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of technical program/product management experience or software engineering, systems engineering experience in a product-focused company. 3+ years in leading & managing portfolio
  • Track record of program management during all phases of software development (microservices, open source custom development) from annual/quarterly planning to kick-off to release planning to GTM/delivery, expertise in working with ambiguity, & ability to give clear directions to teams.
  • Strong customer & people empathy, sound judgment (balancing short & long-term business needs, trading off between costs, risk, benefits), & obsession with quality, reliability & correctness.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering, product and operational teams and to make technology-related product decisions.
  • Engineering background and capability to build small tools to automate mundane and repetitive tasks. Expertise in JIRA customization/automation enhancing progress tracking & reporting
  • Ability to identify & drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions across the organization.
  • Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones.
  • Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills and the ability to make informed & fast decisions related to technology solution design and direction. Demonstrated experience in \"owning\" and driving data-driven decisions (data analysis skills are key for this role).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams across the organization.
