Reports to: Sr. Director, Business Development

We are seeking a bilingual (French/English) Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth in France, expanding our footprint with retailers, brands, platforms and enterprise customers.

This is a high-impact, strategic sales role focused on acquiring new partners and driving revenue across our solutions portfolio. The role requires business-level fluency in French, strong commercial acumen, and experience in retail, prepaid, incentives, payments, fintech, or branded currency.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for France across Blackhawk Network’s solutions portfolio (gift cards, prepaid, rewards & incentives, corporate payouts, API integrations, branded payment solutions).
  • Identify, engage, and acquire new partners including retailers, digital platforms, loyalty providers, enterprises, and payment ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Build strong C-suite and senior-level relationships to drive strategic, multi-year partnerships.
  • Lead the full commercial cycle—prospecting, value positioning, negotiation, contract execution, and handoff to onboarding & account management.
  • Understand the French commerce, retail, incentives, and fintech landscape and apply this market insight to influence product, pricing, and commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, finance, legal, and operations to deliver seamless partner launches and ongoing execution.
  • Represent Blackhawk Network at key industry events in France and broader Europe.
Qualifications:
  • Business-level fluency in French
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the gift card, retail, or payments industry, with a strong passion for negotiation and strategic partnerships.
  • Sales Excellence: Proven track record in new business development, consistently exceeding targets and driving growth. Comfortable operating and performing against a Sales quota.
  • Agile & High-Energy: Thrives in fast-paced, high-activity environments, maintaining focus and momentum under pressure.
  • Influential Communicator: Strong presentation and communication skills, adept at engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Self-Driven & Organised: Highly organised, self-motivated, and effective in autonomous roles, with a relentless drive to succeed.
  • Strategic & Resilient: Combines strategic thinking with persistence and adaptability to overcome challenges and close complex deals.
