Sports Logistics Coordinator

Location: Brighton College, Brighton

Salary: GBP29,169 per annum

Brighton College is looking to appoint a Sports Logistics Coordinator on a permanent basis. This is a term-time (35 weeks) plus six weeks (41 weeks total) appointment.

Main Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a highly organised, dynamic and versatile Sports Logistics Coordinator to work with our busy and high-achieving Sports Department.

You will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of sports fixtures, events and games sessions to ensure the smooth running of all sporting activities alongside playing an essential role in the delivery of a high-achieving sports programme.

The role requires excellent communication skills, administration skills, a strong attention to detail, and a drive for excellence.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day logistics support to the Sports Department.
  • Supporting data analysis and budget forecasting.
  • Working with multiple Heads of Sport to ensure effective planning and organisation across all programmes.
  • Coordinating facilities (internal and external), catering and transport services.
  • Supporting the Director of Sport with the communication of information to parents and pupils.
  • Communicating with the wider College team information regarding sports fixtures and events.
  • Liaising with external coaches to keep them compliant and informed of any session changes.
  • Setting up systems and spreadsheets to help with the monitoring and recording of information.
  • Creating and maintaining registers for various sports sessions.
  • Supporting injury management protocols, as part of the College Welfare Policy.
  • Using the College's various data management systems to ensure effective and timely planning and communications regarding sporting activities and trips.
Person Specification

The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • A proven record in logistics, or administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • IT skills with a thorough knowledge of MS applications, including Outlook and Teams.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage own workload effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work closely, and communicate effectively, with others.
  • A friendly and personable manner, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the College.
  • The ability to show initiative and be proactive.
  • Flexible, innovative and a willingness to be involved with change.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A keen interest, and some knowledge, of sports in general.
Hours of Work

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm with a 60‑minute unpaid lunch break. This role will work term time (35 weeks) plus an additional six weeks (41 weeks total).

Holidays

Holiday entitlement is included in the salary for the role. All holiday is to be taken outside of the working weeks.
