Sports Lecturer — Location: Derbyshire — Start: ASAP — Hours: 3 Days Per Week — Job Type: Temporary

The Role

Morgan Hunt is excited to be partnering with a highly regarded Further Education College in Derbyshire. We are looking for an experienced Sports Lecturer to join a dynamic team and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in sports.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in sports
  • Design and implement curriculum and assessment activities aligned to the College's standards.
  • Track and monitor learner progress; provide constructive feedback to support student success.
  • Maintain and update accurate learner records, reporting on progression and achievement.
  • Promote health, safety and safeguarding across practical and theoretical sessions.
  • Inspire and motivate students, fostering an inclusive and high-performance learning environment.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Sport Science, Public Services or related)
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
  • Right to Work & Enhanced Child DBS on the update service
  • Knowledge of teaching styles recommended.
  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations applicable to sport/physical delivery.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
