Lecturer in Sport (Maternity Cover)

  • Location: Uxbridge
  • Job Type: Part-time (Fixed-term)
  • Salary: £25,964 to £36,208 (Actual salary for 28.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Sport to join our team at Uxbridge College on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave, starting from January 2026. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about delivering high-quality education in sports to young vocational learners.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver educational programs in Sport, including BTEC from Level 1 to Level 3.
  • Engage and inspire students aged 16-19 through high-quality teaching practices.
  • Prepare, plan, and develop course materials and assessments.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Sport or a related subject area.
  • Ideally, a Level 5 teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching vocational Sport courses, including BTEC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
