Sports Coach or Sports Teacher – Walthamstow

Full time, January start

Ready to make a real impact in the new year? We’re looking for a confident and energetic Sports Coach or Sports Teacher to join a brilliant Walthamstow setting from January. If you love helping young people grow stronger, happier and more confident in themselves, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll need

You must hold one of the following:

• Level 3 qualification in Sports Coaching or Degree in Sports Science

What the role’s all about

You’ll play a key part in delivering NCFE and BTEC Health, Fitness and Sports programmes. It’s a mix of teaching, pastoral guidance and helping students feel at home in the gym and fitness suite.

You’ll be:

• Planning, preparing and teaching high‑quality sessions
• Supporting learners pastorally as a personal tutor
• Helping students build confidence, wellbeing and progress
• Assisting with the smooth running of the gym and fitness facilities
• Supervising learners on study programmes, visits and field trips
• Preparing for inspections and moderator visits
• Completing assessments and keeping accurate records
• Carrying out enrolment checks and attendance tracking

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
