• Pay Rate: £90 – £130 per day (Depending on experience)

• Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Overview

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a passion for motivating young people through sport?

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join a dynamic school in Wickford.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun and engaging sports and physical education sessions.
• Promote pupils’ physical development and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence through structured activities.
• Provide classroom support when required and assist with behaviour management.
• Work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports and physical activity into the wider curriculum.
• Support extracurricular activities, school events, and after-school clubs.

Requirements

• Previous experience coaching or working with children or young people is desirable.
• A recognised sports coaching qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication, motivation, and leadership skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards pupil development.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
