Sports Coach - Tameside

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking passionate and proactive teaching assistants with sports coaching backgrounds to join a large SEMH provision in Tameside on a full-time basis.

Overview

The Role:

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, encouraging progress and development
  • Supporting pupils on both a 1-1 basis and in small groups, incorporating sports
  • Developing an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils in the classroom
Position Details
  • Position: Sports Coach
  • Location: Tameside
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: 95 per day, depending on experience
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • End Date: Ongoing, Long-Term
Experience, Training & Qualifications
  • Experience within a SEN school is highly desired
  • A strong background in sports and coaching is required
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • A resilient, proactive and positive nature
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
